Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use My Family Location on the web, on Android or on iPhone. By creating an account you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.

1. The service

My Family Location lets members of a private circle share their location with each other, receive alerts, check in and send SOS alerts. Features can depend on your plan, your device and its settings.

2. Consent is required

• Only invite people who want to share their location with you, and only add a child if you are their parent or guardian.
• Do not use the app to follow, harass or control anyone, or to share someone’s location without their knowledge.
• Each person decides for themselves whether to share and can pause or leave at any time.

3. Your account

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. You must be old enough to agree to these terms in your country, or have a parent or guardian agree for you.

4. SOS and emergencies

SOS alerts the members of your circle. It does not contact emergency services, and it depends on your phone having signal, power and the right permissions. In an emergency, always call your local emergency number first.

5. Location accuracy

Location comes from your device and can be delayed, approximate or unavailable. Do not rely on the app as your only way to know that someone is safe.

6. Plans and payments

• Some features need a paid subscription. One subscription covers everyone in the circle.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in the app, and you keep paid features until the end of the period you paid for.
• Prices and plan contents are shown in the app before you pay and may change for future periods; we will tell you in advance.

7. Acceptable use

Do not break the law, interfere with the service, try to access other people’s data, or copy or resell the service. We may suspend accounts that do.

8. Ending your use

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may close accounts that break these terms, and will tell you why where we can.

9. Liability

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for harm caused by delayed, inaccurate or missing location or alerts. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the country where you live, without affecting any consumer protection that law gives you.
